Transforming Scientific Engagement - Zoho Creator
Client Background
The team is a private, woman-owned company founded in 2003 by scientists and vendors with the goal of connecting the world of life science. They have four main channels of engagement – scientific events, vendor listings, service offerings, and equipment showcases.
The organisation was struggling to manage and analyse data from these multiple sources and make informed decisions that could help them retain scientists. They were using a manual process to track events, vendor listings, and scientific data. Vendors were responsible for creating and maintaining listings detailing their scientific specialties, areas of interest, services, and equipment offerings, while scientists used the platform’s user interface to easily access and review vendor-added products and information.
- Difficulty in separating users into two distinct roles: Vendors and Scientists
- Vendors were responsible for creating and updating listings related to scientific specialties, areas of interest, services, and equipment
- Scientists needed a dedicated interface to view products added by vendors and access detailed vendor information
- The need to implement separate logins for Scientists and Vendors
- The goal was to address both role-specific needs and ensure a streamlined interaction between the two user groups
